Short answer
Packing services in Dubai, in brief
Professional packing is included in your fixed written price when you choose it, with materials supplied rather than charged per box. Most customers take a partial option: we pack the kitchen, fragile items and awkward pieces while they handle clothes and books. A one or two bedroom apartment is usually packed in three to five hours; villas are often packed the day before the move. Boxes are labelled by destination room against a numbered inventory, which is what turns unpacking into a checklist rather than an excavation.
What's included
Everything covered in one fixed price
One written price after a free survey, crew, truck, materials and transit insurance included. It never changes on moving day.
- Export-grade boxes, bubble wrap, packing paper and tape, all included
- Full-home packing or partial packing (kitchen and fragiles only, for example)
- Specialist wrapping for china, glassware, artwork and mirrors
- Wardrobe boxes so clothes travel on their hangers
- Room-by-room labelling and a written inventory of every box
- Furniture wrapped in protective blankets and stretch film
- Unpacking service with all boxes and waste removed
- Transit insurance covering everything we pack
Packing for Dubai conditions
Summer moves in Dubai mean heat, candles, electronics, artwork and anything delicate is packed to travel in it and loaded last so it spends the least time in the truck. Month-end is our busiest packing week, so if your lease ends on the 30th, book your packing day early.
Why packing matters
The part of a move you only judge afterwards
Packing is the only element of a move whose quality is invisible on the day and obvious a week later. On moving day everything looks the same: boxes go on a truck, boxes come off a truck. The difference shows up when you open them. Whether the glassware survived, whether the kitchen can be reassembled in an evening or takes four days, whether the box marked "bedroom" actually contains bedroom things, whether anything was crushed under something heavier.
Good packing is mostly about three unglamorous things. Materials: export-grade double-wall cartons for heavy items, dedicated wardrobe boxes so clothes travel hanging, screen cartons for televisions and mirrors, and enough bubble wrap and paper that fragile items are individually wrapped rather than nested together hopefully. Density: boxes packed full and voids filled, because a half-empty carton collapses when something is stacked on it and its contents move for the entire journey. Labelling: a room-by-room inventory so unpacking is a checklist rather than an excavation.
The last point is where most self-packed moves come undone. It is entirely reasonable to pack your own books and clothes, and many of our customers do. What is worth handing over is the kitchen, the fragile items, and anything awkwardly shaped, because those are the categories where the materials and the technique actually matter and where a broken item costs more than the packing would have.
At a glance
What professional packing actually covers
Six categories where materials and technique change the outcome. Everything else is honestly straightforward.
| What we pack | Materials used | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Kitchen and glassware | Double-wall cartons, paper, dividers | Highest breakage category in any move |
| Televisions and mirrors | Dedicated screen cartons, corner protection | Flat items crack under lateral pressure |
| Clothing | Wardrobe boxes with rails | Arrives hanging, not creased in a heap |
| Artwork and frames | Custom wrapping, edge protection | Cannot be replaced, unlike most contents |
| Books and documents | Small double-wall cartons | Weight, not size, is what fails a box |
| Electronics | Original boxes where kept, foam otherwise | Cables bagged and labelled per device |

Three steps. One price. No surprises.

Pricing
How packing is priced, and how to spend less on it
Packing is the single largest optional cost in most moves, and also the easiest to scale. Full packing of an entire home is included in your fixed written price when you choose it. Packing yourself lowers the figure. Between the two sits the option most customers actually take: we pack the kitchen, the fragile items and anything awkward, and you handle clothes, books and personal effects at your own pace in the days before.
Materials are included when we pack, rather than charged per box on the day, which is a common way for an attractive quote to grow. If you are packing yourself and want proper cartons rather than supermarket boxes, we can supply materials separately. Whichever route you choose is agreed at the free survey and written into the price. For a starting range, try the moving cost calculator.
If you pack yourself
How to pack well without professional help
- Use small boxes for heavy things and large boxes for light things, not the other way round
- Fill every box completely, using towels or linen as void filler rather than leaving air
- Wrap fragile items individually rather than nesting them together with paper between
- Label the room the box is going to, not the room it came from
- Mark one box per person as first-night and load it last so it comes off first
- Tape the base of every carton in both directions, not a single strip
- Keep screws and fittings from dismantled furniture in a labelled bag taped to the item
- Never pack documents, jewellery, medication or keys, keep those with you

Questions
Packing Services Dubai, FAQ
What is included in your packing service?
Everything: all materials (boxes, bubble wrap, paper, tape), trained packers, room-by-room labelling and a written inventory. It’s all part of your one fixed price, materials are never billed separately.
Do I need to pack anything myself?
No, you can leave everything in cupboards, wardrobes and drawers. If you prefer to pack some things yourself, we price the job accordingly during the free survey.
How do you pack fragile items?
China, glassware, artwork and mirrors are individually wrapped in paper and bubble wrap, packed in reinforced boxes with padding, marked fragile and loaded to travel safely.
Do you also unpack at the new home?
Yes, we can unpack everything, place items where you want them and remove all boxes and packing waste the same day.
Can I book packing only, without the move?
Yes, packing-only is available if you just need professional packing before a move you’ve arranged separately. Message us on WhatsApp for a quote.
How much do packing services cost in Dubai?
Packing is included in your fixed written price when you choose it, rather than billed per box. Because it is the largest optional element of most moves, we price it after a survey so you can see the difference between full packing, partial packing and self-packing before deciding.
Can I pack some things myself?
Yes, and most customers do. The common split is that you handle clothes, books and personal effects while we pack the kitchen, fragile items and anything awkwardly shaped, which is where materials and technique actually change the outcome.
Are packing materials included?
Yes, when we do the packing. Cartons, bubble wrap, paper, wardrobe boxes, screen cartons and tape are all inside the price rather than charged per item on the day, which is a common way a cheap quote grows.
What materials do you use?
Export-grade double-wall cartons for heavy items, wardrobe boxes with rails so clothes travel hanging, dedicated screen cartons for televisions and mirrors, bubble wrap and packing paper for fragiles, and moisture-resistant covers for upholstery and mattresses.
How long does packing a home take?
A one or two bedroom apartment is usually packed in three to five hours on the morning of the move. Villas are often packed the day before, which makes moving day calmer and is what we recommend for anything above four bedrooms.
Do you unpack as well?
Yes, if you want it. Full unpacking means beds made, wardrobes refilled, kitchen essentials on the counter and every carton removed. Alternatively we place boxes room by room against the inventory so you can unpack at your own pace.
How do you label boxes?
By destination room rather than origin room, with a numbered inventory so you can see what is in each carton without opening it. In practice that is the difference between unpacking in two days and unpacking over a fortnight.
Can you pack fragile or valuable items separately?
Yes. Artwork, mirrors, chandeliers, instruments and anything you flag at survey are inventoried individually and wrapped in materials chosen for the item rather than in general packing.
Do you supply boxes if I pack myself?
Yes, we can supply proper cartons and materials separately if you would rather pack your own home but not use supermarket boxes. Tell us at survey and we will include them in the written quote.
What should I never let anyone pack?
Passports, visas, tenancy and vehicle documents, jewellery, cash, medication, keys and anything you will need within the first hour at the new home. Keep those with you personally, on every move, with any company.
Do you pack for shipping or storage?
Yes. Packing for storage uses moisture-resistant covers and an itemised inventory so you know exactly what went in and what comes back, and packing for a long journey is done to a tighter standard than packing for a short one.
